This year I've been able to celebrate TWO stage productions of Window
Pains. Both were fantastic productions, each respective
of their stories and nuanced by the personalities of each theatre.
I am grateful for those directors bold and courageous enough to give
it breath. While the play is true to life, I continue to be concerned
to tell the story
better
and
make
it stronger.
I am
learning
to believe
when
others tell me I've wrtten a great play with this project.
Hopefully more eyes than mine will continue looking
through the Window Pains a few more times...I am hoping to campaign
this production throughout the nation. Please let me know how you can
help—especially in arenas where Autism is misunderstood.
Over the holidays I am committed to complete Threats
and Confessions in the Gallery of Cows (the great
comedy that may never make it to the stage) as well as put the
final touches on every 10-minute work that has already been workshopped
or given a stage reading.
As 2011 arrives,
I plan to re-work Victims
of Grace, push for more Pains productions,
and write some fresh material in
time for a late year stage production.
Who out there
would love to read it?
